Hello Dear Friends,
I do hope you all have enjoyed your Christmas and welcome to the New Year, time certainly is speeding up. I just wish to share with you some wonderful news about my son Greg. This November he had an 11 hour very difficult back operation, he has been in chronic pain for over 10 years and it has been a struggle to find a spinal surgeon to operate on him. A huge thank you to Dr McCoobe and his team from Royal Brisbane Hospital for taking Greg on and successfully doing this huge operation, it is a amazing that he is standing straight and walking without pain and has now so much to look forward to in his life, where before he really didn’t have one.
The night after his operation, still in ICU he suffered pulmonary oedema and his lungs filled with fluid and he couldn’t breathe, a nurse called the Response Team and they worked on him for over 3 hours and brought him back and saved his life. After he was stabilized he was sent to Intensive Coronary Care where he had excellent care, more blood, iron and potassium infusions, 15 units of blood in all. Here they stabilized him with tests of all descriptions. After 5 days there he went into Trauma ward where the Physiotherapists concentrated on his back , walking with a high roller , elbow crutches and the next day he was walking on his own much to the amazement of the physiotherapist.
I brought him home the next day, a bit worried about the 2 hour journey but he was fine. We were about 3 kilometers from his home when the car started playing up, jerking and spluttering the temperature gage was ok , so Greg said just keep going while it’s going, so I managed to pull into his parking spot and the car just stopped. I look back on all that happened and I said to Greg that we had 3 miracles happen these last few weeks, your successful back operation, a nurse being with you to call the Response Team when you went into heart failure and was saved and that car making it home and then stopping the minute I pulled into your parking lot. We certainly had Devine help.
We both thank the wonderful DRS and Nurses for their dedication and excellent nursing care and our unseen friends for bringing us safely home. We have our New Year gifts with all of that and thank them all with gratitude and Love in our hearts.
I wish you all a Joyous wonderful New Year and wish you all Peace and Love. I remember reading somewhere a long time ago. YOUR UNSEEN HAND WILL GUIDE YOU UNASKED TO YOUR DESTINY Well that certainly applied to Greg and myself.
Love and Inner Peace to you all dear friends
